  Oily, flavourless, and expensive. The potato scallops we had were a joke, it's basically deep fried batter with a hint of potato. The chips were so oily I could've squeezed them out and refilled my car. Why can't anyone sort out fish and chips in the Northern Rivers?

  The food tastes like the never change their oil and it is always oily. The price is expensive. Do yourself a favour and cross the road to eat at fishy fishy... Much better...

  Gave 1 star because I couldn't give zero stars! I am usually quite generous in my reviews but when I pay $52.00 for 1 piece of fish (that was flavorless and powdery) 8 calamari rings (that where burnt to a crisp and so chewy it got caught in my daughters throat) 1 hamburger (which was the saving grace) $5 worth of chips (which barely was enough for 2 children under 10) and 6 chicken nuggets (which were the size of a small bird covered in burnt crumbs)... and to finish it off NO EFTPOS... what year is it 1998!! Severely dissapointed!! Do yourself a favour and go to Fishy Fishy across the road.. near the ATM machine!

  Always has been the best and always will be the best. Calamari burgers, chicken nuggets and sea perch are my favourites ! Janine is awesome too!

  We visited the Bream Hole twice in one week. The food was great so we went back for seconds. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. No eftpos and a cranky cashier. On our second visit we were told the order would take 20 minutes and when we returned it wasn't ready - they had taken a big order and somehow our food (3 pieces of fish, calamari rings, scallops and chips) would now take another 15 minutes with no apology for being bumped down the queue. It was too long to wait for a simple order. We will try somewhere else next time.
